Antigua and Barbuda's passport has secured the 22nd position in the world in the latest Henley Passport Index, maintaining its standing among the Caribbean's most powerful travel documents.
According to Antigua News Room, the 2026 index — published by London-based global citizenship and residence advisory firm Henley & Partners — ranks passports based on the number of destinations their holders can access without obtaining a visa in advance.
Holders of an Antigua and Barbuda passport currently enjoy visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 154 destinations worldwide. The ranking places the twin-island nation ahead of several larger countries and firmly among the top-performing passports within the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) and the broader Caribbean region.
Singapore claimed the top spot globally, with a number of European and Asian nations also featuring prominently among the world's most travel-accessible passports.
The Henley Passport Index draws its data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), tracking travel freedom across 199 passports and 227 destinations worldwide.
Antigua and Barbuda's strong passport ranking is frequently cited by government officials and investment migration stakeholders as a key benefit of the country's Citizenship by Investment Programme.
