The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) is declaring its island-wide "Megacade" a resounding success, citing what it described as record-breaking participation from supporters across multiple constituencies. According to Antigua.news, a long line of vehicles stretched across key roadways on Sunday as supporters dressed in red moved through communities in a high-energy display of party backing.
Organisers reported a massive turnout, with the procession making its way through several major areas in what supporters described as a near-continuous stream of vehicles "like peas."
Along the route, residents were seen waving flags, cheering from the sidelines, and joining the procession as it passed through their communities.
ABLP representatives said the event demonstrated strong national backing and momentum heading into the final days of campaigning before the April 30 general election.
The party described the Megacade as one of the largest political mobilisations in recent memory, pointing to its scale, energy, and coordination as evidence of a well-organised campaign push.
With Election Day fast approaching, the ABLP is urging supporters to turn out early on April 30, as the party looks to translate Sunday's visible enthusiasm into votes at the polls.
