The Caribbean Women in Leadership (CIWiL) Antigua and Barbuda National Chapter has congratulated Maria Bird Browne and Kiz Johnson on their election to the House of Representatives following the 2026 General Election.
In an official statement, CIWiL welcomed the two women's victories, describing their success as a significant boost for female representation in national politics.
The organisation also paid tribute to all women who contested seats in the election, noting that their participation strengthened democracy and helped expand opportunities for future female leaders.
"Your courage strengthens our democracy and widens the path for those who follow," the statement read.
CIWiL reaffirmed its commitment to promoting the full and equal participation of women in political life across all parties and at every level of governance.
