A 32-year-old Gray's Farm resident has been remanded to custody following a shooting incident that disrupted an Antigua Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) concert at Rising Sun Grounds, according to Antigua Observer.
Coteen Francis appeared before Chief Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel on Thursday morning, where he was represented by attorney Lawrence Daniel. Francis faces charges of shooting with intent, as reported by Antigua Observer.
The incident drew significant attention given its occurrence at a political party event, raising concerns about public safety at organised gatherings in Antigua and Barbuda.
Francis was remanded to custody following the proceedings before Chief Magistrate Emanuel. The case is expected to continue through the court system in the coming weeks.
