Charles 'Max' Fernandez has successfully held the St. John's Rural North constituency for the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) in Thursday's General Election. According to Antigua.news, Fernandez defeated United Progressive Party (UPP) challenger Malaka Parker to secure another term in a closely watched race.
The incumbent's victory was signalled early, with initial results pointing to a solid performance across the constituency. Fernandez's campaign had centred on continuity and ongoing development for the area.
His win strengthens the ABLP's position in the St. John's region as results from the rest of the country continue to be tallied.
