The Chief of the Organization of American States (OAS) Electoral Observation Mission in Antigua and Barbuda, Maricarmen Plata, has reported a calm and steady flow of voters across the country during the first half of Election Day. According to Antigua.news, Plata indicated that the electoral process is unfolding in an orderly manner.
In an update issued by the mission, Plata confirmed that polling stations had been operating without significant disruption as citizens turned out to cast their ballots. The OAS Electoral Observation Mission, deployed to monitor the conduct of the polls, encouraged all eligible voters to continue exercising their democratic right before polls close at 6pm.
"The process is unfolding in an orderly manner," the mission stated, while urging citizens to participate in the vote.
