The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda headquarters on American Road was evacuated Monday morning following an anonymous phone call reporting an explosive device planted inside the building, according to Antigua Observer.

The threat was received at approximately 9:45 am, prompting authorities to immediately clear all staff from the premises. The Explosive Ordnance team was subsequently deployed to assess the situation.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Thomas addressed the incident, stating that the force remains ready to handle such emergencies. "The police are always prepared," Thomas said, underscoring the department's commitment to public safety and its established protocols for responding to security threats.

The evacuation affected operations at the headquarters, which serves as the administrative hub of the country's national police force. Authorities acted swiftly in accordance with standard procedure upon receiving the anonymous call, prioritizing the safety of all personnel on site.
