The Member of Parliament for St Mary's South, Kelvin Simon, has called for a sweeping legislative overhaul of Antigua and Barbuda's creative and athletic sectors, according to Antigua Observer.

Simon, who serves as shadow minister for Sports and Creative Industries, outlined a policy roadmap designed to transform what he described as traditionally cost-heavy departments into what he called 'cash injectors' for the national budget.

As reported by Antigua Observer, the proposals encompass reform of the nation's intellectual property framework alongside a significant overhaul of sports infrastructure — two areas Simon argues hold untapped economic potential for the twin-island nation.
